Due to the economic crisis, Munesuke Toyama (played by Ken Ogata), who runs a disco, owes a huge debt to the Yazaki Gang. His wife (played by Hiromi Takigawa) is raped by gang members demanding debt repayment and, in her anger, commits suicide. Toyama had promised to buy a cat's eye diamond worth 4.95 million yen as a birthday gift on his wife's birthday, so he takes a risk and kidnaps 5 million yen from the Yazaki Gang to fulfill his promise.
