By chance, the popular star Lu Qi (played by Shi Ke) meets the obscure stage manager Xia Yu (played by Abe Li). Lu Qi is already tired of the hypocritical and sensational entertainment industry and longs for Xia Yu's calm and ordinary life. One day, unable to withstand the blinding flashes of the media any longer, Lu Qi storms out, and Xia Yu finds her, bringing her back to his modest rented room.
