22-year-old Shun Kiki (played by Yutaka Mizutani) runs a car repair shop with his family. He uses his parents' money to open a small bar, where the young and beautiful Meiko (played by Mieko Harada) works as a waitress. Over time, the two develop feelings for each other. Shun's father (played by Ryohei Uchida) secretly hires a detective to investigate Meiko's background and, due to Meiko's past experiences, strictly forbids their relationship. A heated argument ensues between father and son, leading Shun to kill his father in anger, and during the struggle, he also kills his mother, thus embarking on a dark path... This is the directorial debut of Yoshihiko Hasegawa, based on the short story "Jya-In" by Kenji Nakagami, and is adapted from a real-life parricide case that occurred in Ichihara City, Chiba Prefecture in 1974.
