Rodney Hayden is an American dreamer: a small business owner and family man living in Central Florida. After going bankrupt due to the Great Depression, he heard a story about a map, an island, and treasure, which could be his opportunity to escape his mounting debts. Motivated by economic despair and a lack of direction in life, Rodney devised a plan to find the legendary $2 million worth of cocaine in the Caribbean treasure area mentioned in the reports. Thus, Rodney embarked on a journey to pursue his American dream, achieving unexpected results with the help of a group of young offenders from diverse backgrounds, despite having no prior experience in drug trafficking. The Legend of Cocaine Island is directed by Theo Love, co-produced by Sidestilt and Dreamco Pictures, and premiered at the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival (formerly titled: White Tide: The Legend of Culebra).
