Chen Mo (played by Kang Kang) was originally a rich second-generation heir, but due to his gambling addiction, he not only angered his father to death but also squandered the family fortune, becoming a "negative heir." With no money to his name, he only has a painting left by his father from the artist Chu Zhongtian (played by Li Guohuang), but the painting is only worth 100,000 yuan, which is nowhere near enough to pay off his gambling debts. He and the boss of an underground money lending operation suddenly see a news report on TV about the artist Zhang Laoqian's death, which causes the value of the painting to skyrocket. Consequently, he is forced to fly to Singapore to kill Chu Zhongtian to increase the painting's value to pay off his debts; his only capital for murder is the 100,000 yuan. Chu Zhongtian and Zhu Yuepo (played by Wu Mengda) also have a deep enmity because of Zhang Laoqian's painting, and Zhu Yuepo has even been imprisoned as a result. Having successfully escaped from prison, he vows to take revenge on Chu Zhongtian.
