In 1983, during a particularly hot spring day in the university town, "Jebbi" and "Eun-sook" were comrades and secret lovers who led the student movement, and one of them who, due to his love for Eun-sook, had no choice but to become a "Frakchi." Forty years later, Eun-sook's son "Hao-yan" learns about their story and uncovers their love, revolution, and secrets. The term Frakchi, derived from Russian, gained widespread usage after the Frakchi incident in the National Assembly of Korea in 1949. At that time, it was said that a few members of the Korean Workers' Party (WPK) participated in "frakchi" activities to represent North Korea's position in the Assembly. Around the 1980s, during the active democratic protests by university students, the "fake university students" introduced by the state to track the movements of university students came to be known as frakchi.
