Fearless Rio (played by Alice Taglioni) prides herself on being "the best cop on the French Riviera." After hearing the shocking news that her colleague Lou, whom she considers a brother, was murdered in Hamburg, she is determined to uncover the truth. However, her boss (played by Noémie Lovsky) has other plans and insists on handing the case over to a German super cop. Rio refuses to let a "gem on the outside but rotten on the inside" handle the investigation, especially when she learns that this officer is the charming yet overtrained Melanie (played by Steffi Sévarin).
