The story takes place in Norway, where two artworks by painter Barbora Kysilkova are stolen from an art gallery. The thief is a drug addict named Karl-Bertil Nordland. In court, the painter finally meets the thief and makes an astonishing decision: to create art inspired by him. This is how an apparently impossible intimate relationship begins between the thief and the painter.
