Lewei (played by Janne Puustinen) has always had a very tense relationship with his father, having never experienced what it feels like to share familial joy with the previous generation. This summer, Lewei is returning from Paris to his family home in Finland because he promised to help his father renovate a holiday cabin by the lake in Finland. In his hometown, Lewei encounters a man named Tarik (played by Boodi Kabbani), a Syrian refugee whom Lewei’s father hired to work alongside Lewei on the renovation. Lewei and Tarik maintain a subtle distance from one another, knowing that one day, Lewei's father will tell him he needs to return to the city for work, which means that for the next week, Lewei will share an intimate world with Tarik.
