In a blood-soaked room, there is no body, causing an uproar in North Korea over a mysterious murder case. The protagonist, Min Soo-hyun, has vanished from his home, as if he had evaporated into thin air. His father is offering a hefty reward to find his son. Police Chief Young-dae (played by Oh Dal-soo), eager to get promoted, has already begun a full-scale search for Min Soo-hyun. Meanwhile, medical apprentice Kwang-soo (played by Ryu Deok-hwan), who has obtained a corpse for dissection practice, discovers that it is the body of Min Soo-hyun. Caught in the crisis of being a murder suspect, Kwang-soo seeks out private detective Jun-ho (played by Hwang Jung-min) and entrusts him with the case. Lured by the enormous reward, Jun-ho takes on the case and enlists the medically knowledgeable Kwang-soo as his assistant. Detective Jun-ho, medical apprentice Kwang-soo, and female inventor Sun-deok track down five clues left behind. The clues found in the victim Min Soo-hyun's room include white powder and a peculiar-shaped doll. Jun-ho and Kwang-soo, hiding their identities, approach female inventor Sun-deok (played by Yoon Ji-won) to acquire necessary equipment such as listening devices. They later discover that the unidentified white powder is toxic and is being distributed on the market. They deduce that Min Soo-hyun's last activity was at a traditional performance troupe. At this point, a second murder occurs. Even more shocking is that the victim is the Police Chief, a man with absolute power. The crime scene is the same location where Min Soo-hyun last stayed. Eager to solve the case, Young-dae wants to create a false narrative and find a scapegoat to close the case quickly. However, Jun-ho and Kwang-soo have already analyzed that it is the same perpetrator, and they find new evidence on the Police Chief's body—a blood-stained cloth. Uncover the astonishing secrets and conspiracy behind the murder cases! Following the remaining clues, Jun-ho and Kwang-soo head to the traditional performance troupe. Despite their ominous premonitions, they resolutely pursue the case to prevent another murder. An unprecedented series of murders, white powder, strange dolls, blood-stained cloth, and two bodies. What is the connection between them, and who is the real criminal? The closer they get to the truth, the more shocking the secrets and conspiracies awaiting them.
