Zhou Manxiu (played by Hyun Bin)’s mother suffers from Alzheimer's disease. With the meager income from working in a hair salon, Zhou Manxiu struggles to maintain a life dependent on each other with his mother. Zhou Manxiu's brother is a reckless gambler who, whenever he is short on cash, seeks out his younger brother to ask for money, and the kind-hearted Zhou Manxiu, even while borrowing from others, fulfills his brother's demands.
