"Lovers' Whispers" tells the story of the intricate entanglements of love and hate in the city, including different forms of love such as secret love, unrequited love, and adulterous love. A-Lei (Eason Chan) and A-Qi (Vanness Wu) maintain a normal romantic relationship on the surface, but secretly A-Lei is in love with A-Lan (Lynn Hung). This all comes to light when A-Qi and A-Lan's boyfriend A-Bao (Xiang Zuo) discover the affair. Where will this misguided love lead? A-Bao also hides his secret; when he was young, A-Bao (William Chan) had a crush on his classmate Li Guangsheng's (Chan Ka-Lok) mother, Madam Li (Jasmine Lee), and even helped her secretly take photos of Mr. Li (Eric Tsang) during his extramarital affair. Grown-up Li Guangsheng (Eddie Peng) has become a dentist, while A-Zhi (Kay Tse), a laundromat employee, has secretly loved him, fantasizing about different scenarios of being with him every day, yet she can't confess her feelings in reality… Can this series of complex relationships finally come to fruition? Perhaps it will always remain tangled.
