In the spring of 1871, a Japanese ambassador, protected by two samurai, traveled by train across the American continent to the capital, Washington, to present a priceless military sword given by the Emperor of Japan to the President of the United States. The train was ambushed by the notorious bandit Link and his accomplice Gosh, and the sword was stolen. Gosh, wanting to keep the treasure for himself, plotted to kill Link. After the bandits left, the Japanese ambassador saved the gravely injured Link and ordered the samurai Hekudo and Link to recover the sword within seven days. During the seven days of joint combat between Link and Hekudo, they were surprised to discover that the Eastern samurai spirit and the American cowboy culture were surprisingly convergent...
