This documentary, produced by Elton John and his partner David Furnish, tells the story of British human rights activist Peter Tatchell. For years, Tatchell has challenged the British establishment through a series of controversial civil protests, leading the charge in changing public attitudes towards homosexuals and working to expose dictatorships around the world. As LGBTQ rights have gained more recognition and protection, Tatchell has gradually come to be seen as a hero in Britain. The film includes rare historical footage, engaging conversations between Tatchell and acclaimed actor Ian McKellen, as well as interviews with LGBTQ rights activist and former director of Stonewall UK Angela Mason, and renowned actor Stephen Fry, among others. Additionally, the cameras follow Tatchell to Moscow, capturing his protests during the 2018 World Cup aimed at raising awareness about the persecution of sexual minorities by the Russian and Chechen governments.
