In the late Qing Dynasty, a fund donated by overseas Chinese from Nanyang for the Yunnan uprising was secretly delivered to the border areas. This immediately caught the attention of the Qing court, and the court's enforcers, Egele and the Fanhu siblings, sent people to intercept the messenger halfway when calling for the Zhaokun chieftain to collect the funds. A young Hani man sacrificed his young life to protect Zhaokun Meng and his disciples. After Zhaokun Meng returned to the chieftain's residence, Yan Le, who had just returned from studying abroad in Nanyang, suddenly came to propose marriage. Out of respect for his deceased wife, Zhaokun agreed to let his daughter Nan Po marry, and set the wedding to take place two days later. It turned out that Zhaokun was using his daughter's wedding as a cover to lead his disciples out to deliver the funds necessary for the uprising. Among the grand wedding procession, Zhaokun Meng and Yan Han quietly left the sedan chair. Miss Nan Po, still worried about her father and senior brother on their wedding night, quietly went out to look for her father; however, she could never have imagined that her husband Yan Le also followed her out. Yan Le was actually an undercover agent sent by the Qing court, aiming to infiltrate the chieftain's residence through marriage and conspire to crush the uprising that was being planned. The group escorting the funds, Zhaokun Meng and his disciples, were ambushed at a restaurant by Fan Hu and others, who were heavily beaten back. At that moment, an elderly Manchu suddenly attacked from mid-air with exceptional martial arts and ferocity, making it difficult for Zhaokun Meng and his disciples to withstand. Suddenly, an iron bullet shot through the air, startling the Manchu elder; Yan Han took the chance to support his master and escape through the door. The Manchu elder was Egele, the Qing court's enforcer, while the one who fired the shot was Zhaokun Meng's master, Fang Ting Tai. Yan Han and the severely injured Zhaokun Meng took refuge in a bamboo house in Manbeng village, where several assassins attempted to kill them at night, prompting Yan Han to draw his knife and chase them out. Moments after he left, the injured Zhaokun Meng was ambushed by the female innkeeper. Upon hearing the tragic news, Nan Po was heartbroken, while Yan Le sowed discord nearby, forcing Yan Han to leave alone in search of the killers of his beloved master. Nan Po vowed to carry on her father's legacy, seek revenge on the killers, and deliver the funds. Using Yan Han as a touchstone, she cleverly investigated and uncovered the truth amid the complexities of the events, engaging in life-and-death battles with Egele, the Fanhu siblings, and others from the Qing court. In the end, she avenged her father and joined the revolutionary army with the uprising funds.
