Summer 1936 in Spain. The renowned writer Miguel de Unamuno decided to publicly support the military uprising that promised to clear the chaos in the country. He was immediately dismissed by the Republican government and no longer served as the rector of the University of Salamanca. Meanwhile, General Franco managed to align his troops with the rebel front and began privately preparing to become the overall commander of the war.
