Young man Ah Zheng (played by Nicholas Tse) always dreams of a different life, longing to go to South America. By chance, he encounters an undercover female police officer (played by Xu Ziqi) and becomes a "soon-to-be dad." In order to raise money for the child in the woman's womb, Ah Jie quits his job as a bar attendant and starts working as a bodyguard for Uncle Ji (played by Anthony Wong). Ah Jie (played by Wu Bai) has been a mercenary in South America for many years and, after experiencing a life filled with gunfire and war, he wants to wash his hands of the past and return to Hong Kong to marry Hui (played by Luo Qiaoyin), the daughter of a powerful triad boss in Hong Kong. By chance, Ah Jie meets Ah Zheng. To take care of his wife, he hoards the money, and his former comrades quickly track him down to Hong Kong, leading to an inevitable fierce battle.
