Godzilla suddenly emerges from the ice of the Arctic! After sinking the nuclear submarine Ocean and destroying a military base in the Arctic, Godzilla begins to head south. At the same time, in the Pacific Pharmaceutical Promotion Department, the company plans to boost viewership by using a demon from Fara Island. Two promotional staff members, Sakurai and Furukawa, go to Fara Island. They discover that the demon on the island is King Kong. They manage to knock him out and take him to Japan. Soon, the ship transporting King Kong is intercepted by the Japanese government, but just then, King Kong suddenly wakes up from anesthesia, runs out on the transport ship, and swims toward Japan. He has his first showdown with Godzilla in the Nasu Highlands. In the first round, Godzilla wins with his atomic breath. Is King Kong defeated?
Meanwhile, the Self-Defense Forces are conducting the "Flame Attack Operation," pouring gasoline into a river and then igniting it. Surprisingly, Godzilla does not cross the river directly. However, he is unable to break through a high-voltage power line and is frightened away.
On the other hand, the escaped King Kong easily breaks through the electric tower blocking Godzilla, wildly consuming the delicious electric currents. King Kong finally reaches the city center, capturing Sakurai's sister as a hostage and ascending to the national assembly hall. The Self-Defense Forces then use Faro Island's cellular berry juice to launch the "Delicious Juice Confusion Operation." The berry juice falls from the sky, exploding in mid-air and showering King Kong, causing him to faint.
The Self-Defense Forces prevent King Kong from destroying the city and begin the "Balloon Transport Operation," tying him to a giant balloon that carries him to the Fuji area. Upon arrival in the Fuji Highlands, King Kong faces Godzilla again. Godzilla knocks King Kong down once again and unleashes his atomic breath, setting the forest ablaze. Fortunately, a thunderstorm passes through, and lightning strikes King Kong, electrifying him and waking him up, transforming him into a super Saiyan-like being.
King Kong battles Godzilla once more, using his Thunder Punch, grabbing Godzilla's tail with both hands, and spinning to throw Godzilla to another location for a new battle, thoroughly destroying Atami city. Eventually, the two monsters roll down a hill and fall into the sea. Soon, only King Kong's silhouette is visible in the ocean; Godzilla has been defeated.
In fact, Toho did not want to offend the United States, so in the story, Godzilla is defeated, but to solidify Godzilla's status as the Monster King in Japan, they claim it ends in a tie on the official website! Godzilla and King Kong fought three times: once at Mount Fuji, one win for the electric tower, and one win for Atami City.
