Yin Qingsong and his wife unintentionally acquire the coveted Wulin Holy Fire Order that everyone in the Jianghu desires. It is said that mastering this skill allows one to dominate the Wulin. The couple is pursued by assassins from various factions and ultimately meet their demise at the hands of Jingyin, the leader of the Emei Sect (played by Liu Xuehua). Jingyin obtains the Yin Holy Fire Order and abducts Yin Qingsong's daughter, Yin Danfeng (played by Yang Jingjing), while Yin Danfeng's brother, Yin Tianqiu (played by Mo Shaocong), is adopted by the Ghostly Old Man (played by Guo Zhui). The Ghostly Old Man and Jingyin agree to a showdown eighteen years later. The Ghostly Old Man imparts his lifelong knowledge to Yin Tianqiu, hoping he can avenge his parents. Meanwhile, Jingyin deceives Yin Danfeng into believing that the murderer of her parents is the Ghostly Old Man, enraging Yin Danfeng to practice martial arts diligently and vow to eliminate the Ghostly Old Man.
