This film is adapted from the novel "The Docks of Ustream" by Florence Aubenas. Binoche plays a well-known writer who wants to write a book about the feeling of unease in the workplace by experiencing it herself. She takes on the role of a cleaner and discovers that every euro is important for living, a perspective that many social classes cannot see. After going through this trial, she forms true friendships with some unfortunate companions, leading to warm and joyous relationships.
