In 1986, Lebanon was experiencing a civil war, resulting in the kidnapping of a South Korean diplomat who subsequently went missing. The South Korean investigation yielded no results, and they ultimately announced that the diplomat was presumed dead. Two years later, a rookie diplomat named Min-jun (played by Ha Jung-woo) accidentally receives a mysterious phone call and discovers through a special Morse code distress signal that the caller is the long-missing diplomat. The kidnappers demand a high ransom, requiring South Korea to deliver the cash in person. Despite facing numerous obstacles, Min-jun, a former soldier, decides to travel to a foreign land to rescue his colleague with fervor. Due to the sensitive nature of the situation, failure would lead to severe repercussions, making Min-jun's rescue an unofficial operation. Soon, leveraging his years of experience in the Middle East, Min-jun contacts a local intermediary, but upon landing at the airport, he is targeted by the Lebanese military and police, with even local gangs getting involved. The rescue operation thus becomes fraught with challenges…
