After the death of their mother and the disappearance of their father, devout believer Rosy (Macarena Gómez) and her sister Nina (Nadia de Santiago) live a life of reliance on each other. Rosy suffers from agoraphobia and severe mental exhaustion, unable to step outside her home, and relies on morphine to alleviate her extreme physical and mental discomfort. As the graceful Nina grows up, Rosy begins to feel a panic that her sister might abandon her. One day, a stranger named Carlos (Hugo Silva), who has injured his leg, knocks on Rosy's door.
