In the Heavenly Realm, there exists a rare book known as the "Book of Heavenly Secrets," which has been locked in a stone shrine for three thousand years. The guardian of the book, Yuan Gong, is deeply curious about its contents. When no one is watching, he secretly takes it out to read. It turns out that the book records one hundred and eight spells. Yuan Gong, with the intention of benefiting humanity, descends to earth and carves the contents of the book onto a stone wall. However, this act, intended to help mankind, violates heavenly laws, leading to Yuan Gong being punished by the Jade Emperor. In the meantime, three fox spirits mistakenly eat an elixir from the alchemy furnace and transform into spirits that descend to deceive people for money. They even impersonate celestial beings and collude with the government to oppress the common folk, causing havoc on earth. Yuan Gong then guides a gifted child named Dan Sheng, who jumps out of an egg, to learn the spells from the book and confront the fox spirits, using wits and courage to eliminate the threats to the people.
