Roberto (played by Stephen Chow) lives with his mother in Chinatown, New York. At nearly thirty, Roberto is a womanizer with no plans for settling down. His mother can't stand his reckless behavior and gives him an ultimatum to marry a Chinese girl. Roberto has no choice but to return to Hong Kong and seek refuge with his aunt, where he starts a plan to pursue women with his cousin, the tall Zhang (played by Eric Tsang). Zhang is infatuated with the female star Lin Xiaoxia (played by Angel Wan) and, wanting to show off to his cousin, Roberto boasts about his advanced experience in dating from abroad. He competes with Zhang in bowling to earn the chance to get close to Lin Xiaoxia, leading to intense rivalry between the two, with Zhang being left out. Restaurant waitress A-Hua (played by Lau Lan-ki) falls in love with Roberto at first sight, and he takes the opportunity to get closer to her. However, Lin Xiaoxia sees through his intentions and leaves in a huff. Roberto tries to salvage his relationship with the female star while A-Hua, guided by her father, embarks on her own pursuit of Roberto.
