One day, mermaid Annie (voiced by Li Sixian) encounters Captain's daughter Susan who is drowning and calling for help. Despite the Sea God's repeated warnings to Annie not to interfere in human affairs, kind-hearted Annie cannot stand by and do nothing, so she rushes to rescue her and escorts her back to the harbor. On the way, the ship they are on is attacked by pirates. Smart and brave Annie uses her wits to outsmart these ruffians and ultimately subdues them. However, a mischievous pet monkey accidentally opens the prison door, releasing the pirates, and the group finds themselves in danger again.
