This work depicts the interactions between Ichiro Haga, a researcher of shunga (spring pictures) that portray human sexual interactions and reached its peak during the Edo period, and his disciple, Yumiko Haruno. One day, while working in a café, Yumiko encounters Haga, known as "Shunga Sensei," who gazes at shunga without concern for others' eyes. Infatuated at first sight by Haga, who suddenly begins to explain what shunga is, Yumiko starts taking shunga classes at his home. Throughout the story, revolving around the "love for shunga" between the master and disciple duo, the narrative unfolds to involve Haga's editorial assistant for a comprehensive shunga volume and the sister of Haga's late wife.
