When Manbon's temporary substitute teacher, Yasuko, came to visit the home, Ah-in coincidentally returned. Faced with the young and beautiful Yasuko, Ah-in lost his composure, eager to show off, which left the parents, who had intended to communicate with the teacher, unable to speak, damaging everyone's face. Ah-in left home again to roam around, and in Nagano, he joyfully reunited with Sayuri and others from the theater troupe, but ended up being detained at the police station for not being able to pay for his meal. When his sister Sakura rushed over, he was treating the police officers to a meal!
Ah-in's marriage has always been a source of worry for his family, and this time he unexpectedly followed his sister's advice, treating Yasuko like a daughter and befriending the beautiful princess of the former Yagyu family, Yasuko's mother, who had just been discharged from the hospital. Their outings and chats greatly comforted the lonely Reiko. To help her overcome her loneliness, Ah-in even considered opening a small store for her. However, only Sakura was secretly saddened, as Reiko was suffering from an incurable disease, and their mother, who had learned of this news only recently, struggled to find a way to tell her brother. Nevertheless, having Ah-in by her side in her final moments was Reiko's greatest happiness.
