In Prague, Czech Republic, professional assassin Joe (played by Nicolas Cage) successfully completes a mission with skill. For a long time, Joe has adhered to four principles that enable him to carry out his tasks coldly and remain out of sight, but this aimless and lonely life has become tiresome, prompting Joe to decide to head to Bangkok to complete his last four tasks. Joe recruits a local pickpocket named Kong to serve as his assistant and translator, responsible for connecting him with Thai employers. Joe quickly completes his first task, sustaining an injury to his right arm. While seeking help at a pharmacy, Joe meets Fon (played by Yang Cai Ni), a deaf-mute girl whose gentle demeanor stirs feelings in Joe... Kong is beaten by a group of thugs during a meet-up, and his battered state moves Joe. Joe teaches him combat skills, leading him to question his cold principles. Joe's final mission is to assassinate a brave and upright politician, but Kong's words echo in his mind, preventing him from taking action. Meanwhile, the Thai employer fears exposure and wants to eliminate any loose ends. A confrontation between Joe and the gang employer becomes inevitable...
