A robbery triggered by a poorly crafted diamond pulls Mel and Franny into a race against time. Mel is a professional criminal and a single mother. She takes the startled Franny as her hostage, while Detective Ingrid pursues them relentlessly. Along the way, this friction-filled duo encounters an underground organization in Berlin also intent on stealing the money and diamonds, and they must deal with the stolen goods. As the detective and the underground group get closer, Franny develops feelings for Mel and decides to help her captor. The two quickly become the perfect partners. Mel kidnaps handsome cop Harry as her hostage, and Franny instantly falls in love with him—things get exceptionally chaotic, and a happy ending seems far off.
