In the mid-Ming Dynasty, with eunuchs in power, Minister of War Yu Qian is framed and imprisoned, resulting in the execution of his entire family, leaving only a son and daughter who are sent to the border at Longmen for military service. The eunuch Cao Shaoqin (played by Bai Ying) intends to eliminate all threats, sending people to assassinate the two children, but they are intercepted by Zhu Ji, a former subordinate of Yu Qian.
