In the fall of 2003, Harvard University. The arrogant genius student Mark Zuckerberg (portrayed by Jesse Eisenberg) gets dumped by his girlfriend. In his anger, Mark hacks into the school's system, stealing the data of all the pretty girls on campus, and creates a website called "Facemash" for his classmates to rate the hot girls. His actions create a sensation, nearly crashing the Harvard servers, resulting in punishment from the university.
