The impoverished Frank family has five sons, and their sixth child is about to be born, while another middle-class couple of lawyers is unable to conceive. The two families begin a transaction that skirts the edges of the law. The film packages the old theme of human trafficking with a fresh take using suspense. The characters' class differences can't hide the commonality of human nature, and the lawyers' knowledge of the law becomes a source of irony and helplessness. The film employs a special 1.50:1 aspect ratio to tighten the framing, focusing on the characters' expressions and psychological states, highlighting individual choices within the legal order. Nominated for Best Debut Film and Best Supporting Actress at the 2023 César Awards, it won the Best Debut Film at the 2023 Lumières Awards.
