In the early days of the Anti-Japanese War, the national Jiangnan Qianjiang University relocated westward. Due to a lack of transportation, all faculty and students, led by Principal Jiang Weicheng (played by Zhi Yitong), shouldered their burdens and finally settled in a small town. Here, they actively engaged in various forms of patriotic activities to resist Japan. The disciplinary director Fu Mengqi (played by Qi Mingyuan) obstructed the students' patriotic actions in every possible way.
