"Repairing the Pot and Striking the Gong" consists of two plays: "Striking the Steel Gong" and "Repairing the Pot." The former depicts the harvest season, where the production team sends Cai Jiu to strike the gong to notify households to secure their chickens and ducks, preventing them from eating the team's grain. Aunt Lin knowingly disobeys, and Cai Jiu educates her to help her recognize her mistake. The latter describes Aunt Liu's lack of proper understanding of the pot-repairing profession, as she is unwilling to let her daughter marry a pot repairman, but her understanding improves after factual education.
