In an ordinary town, a handsome boy named Craig (Jaeden Martell) accidentally meets billionaire Mr. Harrigan (Donald Sutherland). Mr. Harrigan is reclusive and stubbornly conservative. He hires Craig to read for him, and over the years, he gradually opens up to the boy. In gratitude for Mr. Harrigan's care, Craig buys the elderly man a smartphone that not only makes it easier for him to read the news and check the stock market, but also allows them to communicate through texts. However, one day, Mr. Harrigan suddenly falls ill and passes away, taking the phone with him to the grave.
