In a tranquil countryside town in Kyushu, lives an ordinary girl named Suzume Iwato (voiced by Nanoka Hara). One day on her way to school, she encounters a mysterious young man in white, Sota Munakata (voiced by Hokuto Matsumura). Sota's actions and demeanor pique Suzume's curiosity, and she follows him to a ruin where she sees a door standing unexpectedly in the middle of the water. Unintentionally, Suzume unlocks an ancient seal. Shortly after, an earthquake strikes, and only Suzume can witness the strange phenomena that occur before it. The frightened girl soon discovers that Sota is a gatekeeper with an ancient legacy, traveling across Japan to prevent a greater disaster. From Western Japan to Eastern Japan, as they chase the disaster, Suzume's buried memories gradually awaken…
