On a romantic night, talented and beautiful young woman Justine (played by Kirsten Dunst) and her beloved Michael (played by Alexander Skarsgård) enter the wedding hall. Her sister Claire (played by Charlotte Gainsbourg) and the family spare no expense to make everything perfect for her. However, an inexplicable sense of panic and sadness envelops Justine, leaving her melancholic throughout the night. Justine's marriage is on the brink of collapse, and her relationships with friends and colleagues become increasingly tense. Claire tries to help her sister overcome her depression, but to little effect. Meanwhile, a mysterious asteroid is rapidly approaching Earth, seemingly bringing Justine’s melancholy with it, or perhaps it simply releases the worries that had long been trapped in her heart… This film won the Best Actress award at the 64th Cannes Film Festival in 2011.
