Over the years, the pain of the extermination of the Kurta Clan continues to torment the last descendant, Kurapika (voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro), both physically and mentally. During his pursuit of the Phantom Troupe, Kurapika unexpectedly reunites with his childhood friend Bairo, only to have his Scarlet Eye, one of the "Seven Great Beauties," stolen by him. His predicament soon reaches the ears of Killua (voiced by Mariya Ise) and Gon (voiced by Ai Maeda) through Leorio. In order to find the true culprit who harmed their friend, they search for the enemy's hideout, during which they meet the beautiful and mysterious girl, Shalnark, while being attacked by a group of deadly puppets. On the other hand, Hisoka (voiced by Daisuke Namikawa) suddenly appears before Kurapika and Leorio, revealing the true identity of the murderer. A tangled web of grudges sets the stage for a brutal battle... This film is adapted from the original work of manga artist Yoshihiro Togashi and is the first theatrical film of the anime.
