This work features Kazu no Karen, a high school girl suffering from amnesia that causes her to suddenly recall fragments of memories from her childhood and often lose consciousness. While preparing for a school trip to South Korea, Karen obtains a family registry certificate for her passport application and discovers that she had an older sister named Yuka, who passed away when she was four years old, and that she was taken in by her current parents from a family named "Matsumoto." Wanting to know the whereabouts of her biological parents and the reasons she was put up for adoption, Karen lies to cancel the school trip and embarks on a journey to her birthplace, Fukuoka.
