Located in the picturesque Ogden Marsh, Pennsylvania, life is comfortable and serene. However, a sudden incident disrupts the tranquility of the small town. The previously mild-mannered middle-aged man, Rory (played by Mike Hickman), storms into a baseball game armed with a rifle, and Sheriff David (Timothy Olyphant) decisively shoots him dead. A tragedy seems to spiral out of control, as bloody and brutal events follow one after another, causing the peace-loving townspeople to go into a frenzy, turning the once idyllic town into a terrifying hell on Earth. David and a few of his rational friends discover that the cause of the townsfolk's madness is related to the local drinking water. Meanwhile, to prevent the spread of the madness, the government sends in the military to seal off the town. David and his companions must use all their wits to escape this deathly place...
