Directed by Michael Haneke, this film once again won the Palme d'Or. The two veteran actors in this film are the Best Actress from Venice and the dual Best Actor from Cannes and Berlin. Anne (Emmanuelle Riva) and Georges (Jean-Louis Trintignant), this elderly couple, are both over 80 years old, retired, cultured music teachers.
