The original work of "Court Game" is a courtroom mystery novel by Ritsuto Igarashi, who won the 62nd Mephisto Prize. Nagase plays Seigi Kuga, who aims to pursue a career in law, while Sugisaki portrays Seigi's childhood friend and fellow law student, Misuzu Orimoto. Kitamura plays Kaoru Yuki, a genius who presides over a mock trial known as the "Innocent Game." In the play, the truth hidden behind the masks of Seigi, Misuzu, and Kaoru is revealed in connection with a murder case that actually occurred during a court game.
