The Mute (Jin Feng) was abandoned by his family at a young age and bullied by the Lai family’s only son, Jin Huo (Zhang Peishan). Despite this, he remains kind-hearted and willing to help others. Jin Huo marries the beautiful bride Xiu Zhi (Ling Bo), but his rough personality frightens her. Additionally, Jin Huo has an affair with the married worker A Man (Ling Ling), leading him to lose all interest in his bride and frequently abuse her. In gratitude for the Lai family's upbringing, the Mute conceals A Man's affair with Jin Huo, saving Jin Huo from prison.
