This film is another successful collaboration between director Pau Hak-leung and Asian film star David Chiang. In the film, David Chiang plays a diligent, honest, and helpful taxi driver named Chan Kwong, who unfortunately gets involved in a bank robbery perpetrated by gangsters and is misunderstood by the police. Later, along with the driver Du Fa, played by Wang Zhong, they gather evidence to prove their innocence. Despite many obstacles, they ultimately assist the police in bringing the criminals to justice. This film was shot a year before Robert De Niro's performance in "Taxi Driver." David Chiang is portrayed as an average taxi driver, yet his adventurous experiences reveal the bustling vitality, energy, enthusiasm, and wisdom of Hong Kong. The action choreography is by Lau Kar-leung, ensuring the film's thrilling quality. The directing and shooting techniques showcase the director's talents, and the script reflects the writer's creative foundation. Shaw Brothers films continue to maintain their sense of humor, expressing a social consciousness with a strong local flavor. Wang Zhong, who also plays a driver in the film, was originally an acrobat and was appreciated by director Chang Cheh, signing as a principal actor with Shaw Brothers in 1969 and becoming the lead in Chang's directed film "The Police."
