The浪子燕青 (played by Jiang Dawei) is introduced by the famous prostitute Li Shishi, receiving a pardon from the emperor. The entire Liangshan gang accepts the amnesty and goes south to defeat Fang La. The Liangshan army continuously conquers counties, but many heroes fall in battle. The army attacks Hangzhou city, where strategist Wu Yong sends out seven heroes, including Zhang Shun (played by Li Xiuhian), Yan Qing, Shi Jin (played by Chen Guantai), Li Kui (played by Fan Meisheng), and Shi Xiu to ambush inside the city. Li Kui’s actions in the city alert the enemy, causing Hanzo to go on high alert. Yan Qing devises a plan to escape, while Shi Xiu sacrifices himself in a fight with the enemy general Shi Bao to avenge his sworn brother. Inside the city, others capture Fang La's son, Fang Tianding, while Shi Jin bravely fights to the last breath. Outside Hangzhou, Yan Qing battles Southern sumo master Si Hangfang before returning to the Liangshan camp. The army plans to launch an attack on Hangzhou through Yongjin Gate, with generals like Wu Song (played by Di Long) leading the siege, ultimately achieving the righteous cause of exterminating Fang La.
