The film consists of four independent short stories. "Misunderstanding": Director Chen (played by Yang Lixin), Dr. Sun (played by Xu Zheng), and Sun Datou (played by Liu Yiwei) are three strangers with no intersection in their lives, but due to a series of misunderstandings, they accidentally swap their phones at the airport, leading to a chaotic sequence of events: Director Chen intended to have a one-night stand with a female online friend, but this opportunity is ruined by Sun Datou. He later discovers that Dr. Sun's patient is his own wife, revealing that his marriage is already riddled with issues in his wife's eyes. Meanwhile, Dr. Sun finds himself caught up in a gang-related turmoil. "Song of Life": Ning Can (played by Fan Bingbing) is a female singer who has her songs written by her admirer Yue Wei (played by Wang Xuebing). However, a terminal illness strikes, leading Ning Can to choose to leave quietly. When Yue Wei learns of his girlfriend's death, he falls into despair, only to unexpectedly receive a text reply from Ning Can. This sets off a surprising and astonishing story. "The Mountain Area": The villagers see Lao San (played by Ge You) as a carefree person. One day, Lao San acquires a mobile phone left by an artist (played by Sun Zhou), but in the poverty-stricken village, he struggles to properly use this modern device. He begins to hustle for the phone, and his fate takes an unexpected turn. "Mountain Misfortune": The unscrupulous businessman Teng Shaoyan (played by Qiu Xinzhi) has a poor character and low morals. On the brink of life and death during a mountain disaster, he calls his friends and family for help, only to find that no one is willing to believe him anymore. As he grapples with whether he can escape death's grip, he is filled with mixed feelings about his past misdeeds.
