On a summer day, a family gathers to celebrate their mother's 70th birthday. Present are: the birthday girl and her husband; their two sons, one accompanied by his wife and two children, the other with his new girlfriend; and an eighteen-year-old woman who seems to have grown up here. A camera captures this important day for posterity. Everything appears peaceful and joyful until the sister who went missing three years ago suddenly reappears.
