Gary King (Simon Pegg), a man in his forties who is excessively indulging in alcohol, suddenly recalls a proud but unfinished escapade from his youth 20 years ago. He then reconnects with his good friends Oliver Chamberlain (Martin Freeman), Peter Page (Eddie Marsan), Steven Prince (Paddy Considine), and Andy Knightley (Nick Frost), who now have their own families and careers. They agree to return to their hometown of Newton Haven in an attempt to relive the joyful times of a night out involving five friends, twelve pubs, and sixty pints of beer. The small town remains largely unchanged, yet its inhabitants seem to have no recollection of these old boys. Under Gary's lead, everything initially seems normal, but as night falls, bizarre events unfold, and Gary and the others discover they have unwittingly stepped into some sort of supernatural trap...
