This film is directed by Sun Chong and written by Ni Kuang, adapted from the original novel by Qin Hong. The story describes a young hero, Xin Suan (Wang Yu), who learns that the prince intends to commission four famous assassins to escort a mysterious box to Xi'an, with a reward of one hundred thousand taels of silver. Therefore, Xin kills the four assassins and brings their heads to the prince, seeking to take on the bodyguard job, as he wishes to obtain the large amount of money for disaster relief. The prince agrees.
