Long-haired youth Takagi Hiroshi (played by Tadanobu Asano), who loves fine arts, encounters a severe car accident. Although he narrowly escapes death, he completely loses his memory, having no recollection of who his parents are. After this, he develops a strong interest in the medical books at home, and under the hint from his father Ryuusei (played by Kazumi Kurata), Hiroshi devotes himself to studying and gains admission to a certain medical university. At school, Hiroshi seems indifferent and isolated, showing no response to the affection of girl Ume (played by KIKI). During a dissection class, the corpse of a young female touches Hiroshi deeply. The floodgates of memory in his mind seem to open, leading him to explore the true identity of the female body and the unknown secrets behind it… This film won the Silver Raven at the 2005 Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival, the Jury Special Award at the 2005 Portugal Fantastic Film Festival, and Best Supporting Actress at the 2006 Yokohama Film Festival (played by Naomi Emoto).
